Established in 2010 Sydney PA Hire is an events hire and production business based at Artarmon on Sydney’s lower north shore. We provide high quality PA systems for weddings, corporate, bands, community & other events. In particular we specialise in battery powered systems. Our mission is to provide exceptional sound at an affordable price. We do not talk tech babble!
Too many events are over specified. Our difference is we know from experience what works, and we also know about redundancy. Audio is unforgiving – technical failures CAN happen; we plan for them and pride ourselves on seamless delivery. Words are cheap, but our reputation is precious to us — and choosing us is a safe decision for you. No one ever got fired selecting Sydney PA Hire for their critical event!

Julius started in psychedlic lightshows in 1973 and went on to form Graftons Sound and Lighting. He has been involved in live production ever since. He worked a show with Sydney PA Hire and liked it so much he bought the company in 2025. He leads a committed, customer focussed team and is determined to maintain the excellent Google Five Star Review stack that this company enjoys!
Formerly a commercial accountant Lee turned his passion for audio into a full-time business from 2010. He has more than 25 years experience as a volunteer sound tech & sometimes musician at his local church. Lee maintains and assists Julius with Sydney PA Hire, providing excellent business transition and advice.
Founder David is a keen guitarist & vocalist with The Tokens band. He spent many years as an HR manager & is also president of Sydney Lions club. He mentors our staff every week, provides ongoing training, and technical support.
Elaine established our bookings & logistics after spending many years in corporate accounts.
Dan, Mike, Ray and Nic are our current crew cohort. They’re all ‘like minded’. You’ll meet them/and or Julius at any of our staffed events. We do a mix of ‘driveway’ D.I.Y. hires, delivered/setup/collected, and fully crewed events around the clock and around the greater Sydney area. For work beyond Katoomba, we have our affiliate firm Orange PA Hire.
Our Central West office opened in 2016 in beautiful Orange NSW under the banner Orange PA Hire. This means we can easily service a large part of NSW.
